So, a few nights ago, Hyp and I were out, driving around. I was thirsty so I wanted a Fruitista Freeze from Taco Bell, and the close one's machine was busted. "We can try the other if you want, it's down near Wal-Mart. I might like to go into Wal-Mart and get a sandwich while we're there" Hyp said. "Sounds good to me, I'd like to grab some sodas while we're there maybe" I responded.

So we went to Wal-Mart. We walked around for a little bit while I sipped my drink from Taco Bell, looking at things like dressers and desks. As we finished looking at the somewhat useless desk offerings, I spoke up. "I'd like to drop by Electronics on the way to the food section!" "Of course, I was going to do that anyway." We walked over, saw Avatar was out and figured we'd pick it up, hey it's been a while since we watched a blu-ray, and it's nice eyecandy, so why not? We debated who would pay for the movie, then walked over near the computers and TVs.. nothing interesting. Well, time to go get our food. We turned and walked down the back isle away from the TVs.. "Wait, what?" Hyp said, pointing to a shelf. "Hmm? what's u--oh. wow." Sitting on the shelf, forlorn and sad, was a 46" Sony Bravia 120Hz HDTV with "Demo Unit" written on paper taped to it for well over half-off MSRP.

There's a bit of story between then and when we left the store.. but long story short, we walked into walmart for a sandwich, walked out with a new TV.

Go figure!

It's a serious upgrade from the old 42" Olevia I had before. The colors, black levels, crispness.. it's like an entirely different experience. Having such a pretty TV, combined with some re-arranging I was already doing, spurred us to get a nice little rack for our movies and games too, so I'd stop stacking them up behind my computer monitor.

Rather amateur photo of new TV goodness behind the cut <3
